Black or Silver

Hello!

I have a dilemma (How do you spell dilemma?) Anyone who is out there may be able to help. I've been giving my bedroom a little make-over and am stuck on the lamps so I thought I would ask you guys! I can't decide between, black lamp with white shade, brushed nickel with white shade or maybe a taller brushed nickel lamp (yes, with white shade). What is your opinion? I really can't decide. I like them both. I originally was going to go with the silver but then thought the black looked good with the black handles on the furniture so now I just don't know. It is all in the details ya know! :) I have a little poll you can take! Here are some pics.

Luke : The Next David Beckham!!

Yes, it is true. Luke will be the next David Beckham if he has anything to say about it! He loves soccer and thinks he is the best on his team. He does have talent but needs some humility!! Luckily, he got some this weekend when his team pretty much got smeared 1-4 and he didn't make the one goal! The week before he made 3 and has learned that he can only brag to family and that he needs to remember that it is a team effort. He did say that the team is the most important thing! Here are a couple pictures from last week on March 8th when he and his team were victorious! It was also nice because unfortunately for the parents (we don't speak it but only think it and need to repent of it) it is nice to beat a team from Air Force even if it is 5-6 year olds playing soccer!! Kinda pathetic but we have to get it where we can! :) GO ARMY!!

Jenny's Recorder Concert (yes you read that right)

Jenny had a 3rd Grade recorder concert on Thursday March 13th. She had a great time with her friends and Nana, Amoo, Papa, and Uncle Kenny were there too along with me, Brett, Luke and Sophie. When you have 50 recorders all playing at once with back ground music it's pretty good! The kids also sang some songs too! I video taped it and Jenny wants me to put it on the blog so dad can see it. So, lucky for all of you, once I figure out how to do that you will get to share in the wonder of a recorder concert!! Honestly, the kids did great and we all had a fun time! They, thankfully, still have music class and have a great music teacher.

Pinewood Derby

Brett had his Pinewood Derby with his Cub Scout pack on March 1st and had a blast. The Scout Master (or at least his wife) did an amazing job putting it all together. There was a family derby after the cub derby that was so much fun! We made a turtle car but there were some other great ones like a purple high heel shoe, a Star Wars battery tank-type contraption and Noah's Ark.

Brett's car did great! Didn't make it to district but came in close behind the winner. Here's a picture of one of the races that I can't believe I got! Lucky! He is the one on the left an lost by an inch! He was actually thrilled to only lose by an inch!! In his last derby his wheel fell off so you can figure out what place he finished...not quite last.

We made a Webelos train cake that was put up for auction. Nana won the auction so we got to take the cake home and eat it!
